Title of IST Distinguished Professor awarded to Prof. Carlos Guedes Soares

The IST Distinguished Professor title was presented to Prof. Guedes Soares by the President of IST, Prof. Arlindo Oliveira, and by the Rector of the University of Lisbon, Prof. António Cruz Serra.
On 23 May, IST celebrated its 106th anniversary and during the ceremonies Prof. Carlos Guedes Soares was awarded the title of IST Distinguished Professor, in recognition for his exceptional contributions and for his scientific and academic leadership, on a national and international level, in the areas of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering and Safety and Reliability.
