The work presented here reviews different inspection tools and techniques related to marine structures. Various factors affecting inspection performance and probability of detection of marine structures are analysed. Probabilistic descriptors of probability of detection during inspections are discussed. Evaluation of structural inspection and recommendation for an improvement on available probabilistic models for various aspects of inspections are also given.
