In order to improve the safety of ship navigation, intelligent monitoring systems are installed on ships and provide early warning of potential hazards in hull structures. A hull structural damage model is established based on the finite element method, and the vertical bending deformation of ship structure during navigation is simulated in time domain due to the wave loads in irregular waves. A ship structure damage identification method is then studied by combining the particle swarm optimization and machine learning technology, and automatic damage identification is finally achieved in the monitoring system. This research can effectively improve the monitoring reliability of ship structure and provide technical support for ship intelligent navigation.
