This study analyses the uncertainties embedded in different ultimate strength models of stiffened plates accounting for model, material properties and geometrical parameter variability. The model uncertainty is estimated based on the available experimental data for two different collapse modes, and the model’s statistical uncertainty is propagated based on the material properties and geometrical variability. The accuracy of the developed probabilistic models is investigated based on the available experimental data, including the plate and column slenderness. The output of the present analysis is fundamental for any further structural reliability analysis of marine structures built of stiffened plates.
