This paper assesses the fatigue reliability of the additive manufacturing material of a compact tension specimen. The limit state function is constituted using an analytical formulation, model uncertainty factor, and fracture toughness at the crack initiation. A case study is developed comprising a compact tension specimen with appropriate statistical models in load, material properties and crack geometry. The First Order Reliability Method is used to predict the probabilty of fracture under plane stress and plane strain conditions. The relative importance of the parameters is also evaluated using sensitivity analysis. The results explain the reliability reduction with the increase in loading and uncertainties in the crack length.
