Diaz, H.M. and Guedes Soares, C. (2023), Evaluation of shipyard selection criteria for floating wind developers, Trends in Renewable Energies Offshore, Guedes Soares, C. (Ed.), Taylor and Francis Group, London, UK, pp. 651-660
The shipyard selection criteria for floating wind developers are presented and the degree of importance of each criterion is determined using Ranking Method techniques. The selection of an appropriate shipyard for floating turbines manufacturing and assembly is a very important decision in the planning of wind farms, as it will determine the quality and delivery date of the structures to be manufactured. The study describes the perspective of floating wind developers concerning the shipyard selection process, which allows shipyards that want to be in this market to strengthen their capabilities related with this market sector. The shipyards of the Iberian Peninsula Atlantic coast are analyzed as a case study.
