In order to fulfill a strategic plan and respond to constant needs, organizations have been choosing to manage their assets strategically, providing added value, by aligning asset management with top management, extracting maximum performance, with safety conditions, and with optimized costs. Thus, it is important to identify the extent to which organizations are actually putting into practice good asset management.
This work presents a methodology that aims to identify the level of maturity of an organization, according to the requirements issued by the international standard ISO 55001.
The results obtained in three organizations made it possible to look at each group of requirements and identify the gaps in each organization, and thus propose measures and actions leading to an improvement in the management of physical assets.
