Mohapatra, S.C. and Guedes Soares, C. (2022), “Hydroelastic response to oblique wave incidence on the floating plate with a submerged perforated base”, Journal of Marine Science and Engineering, Vol. 10, 1205.

Ahydroelasticmodel is developed of a floating flexible structurein the presence of a submerged perforated baseconnected with mooring lines under oblique wave action. Using the velocity decomposition method, the analytical solution of the referred model is obtained in finite water depth. The convergence ofthe analytical solutionfor different oblique wave incidencesis examinedand the present results of deflection amplitude are compared with experimental datasets and numerical results available in the literature. The effects of oblique wave incidence along with various designparameterson the wave quantities and structural displacementsare analysedthroughhydroelasticanalysis. Further, the effect of oblique incidence angle on the free oscillationhydroelasticwaves in two-wave modesis investigatedby deriving the free motionvelocitypotential in a wave basin.
