Abbasnia, A., Sutulo, S., Callewaert, B. and Guedes Soares, C. (2021), “Development of a three-dimensional frequency domain seakeeping code”, Developments in Maritime Technology and Engineering, Guedes Soares, C. & Santos T.A., (Eds.), Taylor and Francis, London, UK, Vol 2, pp. 247-254.

The paper presents results of primary validation of the three-dimensional linear seakeeping code SEAKIST now under development. The code is written in C++ language and is based on a double-body potential code for studying hydrodynamic interaction between ships maneuvering at close proximity. The free surface effects are accounted for by means of a pulsing source Green function. The validation was performed for a standalone Green function, for a hemisphere and then the code was applied to the compute the added masses and damping coefficients of the KVLCC2 ship.
