A time-variant probabilistic assessment of the life-cycle of offshore wind turbine supporting structures accounting for the uncertainties and their propagation in time. The levelised cost of energy is adopted to evaluate the life-cycle cost of the offshore wind turbine supporting structures. The economic criteria that significantly influences the discount rate are taken into account, which are the risk-free interest rate, inflation, market stability and public energy policy regarding the offshore wind energy. Three scenarios involving different uncertainties are investigated. Under these three scenarios, the life-cycle of the offshore wind turbine supporting structure is analysed considering a threshold for an offshore wind turbine to be a viable investment. The importance of the random variables is also studied.
