A series of FE analyses are conducted to investigate the influence of boundary condition on collapse behaviour and ultimate strength of stiffened panels. The two bays/spans model with periodical symmetric or symmetric conditions in the longitudinal direction is used to calculate the ultimate strength of stiffened panels under combined biaxial thrust and lateral pressure. The differences between the results are analyzed. The geometric and material nonlinearities are both taken into account, including elastic-plastic large deflection. The equivalent initial deflections superimposed by three types buckling mode are adopted in this paper. The results of the stiffened panels strength are obtained with different codes and compared.
