The study aims to quantify the model uncertainty in motion response estimations of the codes used in the Offshore Code Comparison Study Phase II, Semisubmersible Platform Based Floating Wind Turbine. The spectral densities of a load case represented in root mean square values are compared using coefficient of variance values. The load case is a white noise spectrum of 1 Hz/m2 in head waves between 0.05 and 0.25 Hz, without wind. The prominent motions excited by this spectrum are evaluated in detail (surge, heave, and pitch). The mathematical models of hydrodynamics are examined in two parts. The first set considers the primary hydrodynamic approach. The second set compares the methods considering the additions and alterations to the primary approach.
