A numerical model is proposed to model compartments in components of offshore structures with circular sections. These forms include cylinders, spheres, cones, and similar types. The compartment definitions are set using the sectional geometries, with the minimum definition being the top and the bottom. From this information, the tank is represented with quadrilateral panels that describe each section. The method is able to deliver the structural descriptors of weight and inertia as a function of tank level. Comparisons with analytical calculations for a cylinder and a sphere are presented. Possible uses of the code are discussed using a semisubmersible floating wind turbine platform and a performance assessment is provided.
