In the present study, the influence of fundamental and model uncertainty on the performance of oscillating water column device is studied. In this regard, the Pico oscillating water column device located in Azores, Portugal was considered as a case study. Hydrodynamic analysis of the device is performed in the frequency domain assuming that the linear water wave theory is valid. The boundary integral equation method is employed to solve the associated boundary value problem. In order to estimate average power generated by oscillating water column device and average efficiency of the device in each sea state, a stochastic model was applied. First order second moment uncertainty of the spectral shape to the theoretical model was propagated. Eventually, the bias and coefficient of variation of short term power absorption of the system is determined and discussed.
