In the present study, a brief review on the feasible business model for the multi-purpose offshore platforms for marine renewable energy, offshore aquaculture facilities, transport and logistic hubs is discussed. The main focus is on system integration by exploiting synergies with different technologies. The study is performed on exploring the relations and integration into the platform for a broad range of sectorsincluding energy, aquaculture and related maritime transport and logistics. The logistic requirementsof the novel multi-purpose platform and to assess theeconomic feasibility and viabilityof the platform are presented. In addition, the design of a multi-purpose renewable energy installation at the offshore site based on technical, environmental, social and economic criteria is also discussed.
