The present paper discusses industrial aspects of data quality, under the “Stochastics for the Quality Movement (SQM)” concept, in order to provide a holistic data framework to define, measure and control data quality. Ten industrial aspects of data quality are presented for discussion. A review of the most relevant aspects of reliability data is presented and its link with warranty data is discussed. The paper ends with some guidelines for the construction of a holistic data quality framework.
