In this work a methodology is proposed to find a simplified model for mooring arrangements. The parameters of the equivalent mooring line are determined by an identification procedure that is excited by a signal of the type Schroeder phase multi-sine. The resulting function is easily implemented into existing codes and in some applications aims to replace quasi-static solutions.
