(2025), Hydroelastic response of multi-separated offshore floating circular elastic module based on Timoshenko Mindlin-Beam theory, Innovations in Renewable Energies Offshore, Guedes Soares, C. & Wang S. (Ed.), Taylor and Francis Group, London, UK, 947-955.
A two-dimensional analytical model is developed to study the hydroelastic response of a multi separated moored floating circular module in finite water depth. This mathematical formulation is based on the linearized small amplitude and structural response, whilst the floating module is modeled as the Timoshenko- Mindlin-Beam theory. By considering the geometrical symmetry of the BVP, the theoretical solution is derived based on the matching technique along with the orthogonal mode coupling relation with Bessel function. The level of accuracy of the present results are validated with the independent numerical BEM code simulation and the result is supported by the BEM code. Based on the analytical solutions, several numerical results on the structural displacements, bending moments, and wave quantities, on the effect of mooring lines and structural parameters are presented and analyzed in detail.
