This paper presents a theoretical model for oblique wave interaction with an integrated wave energy system that combines a box-type heaving buoy WEC and a vertical flexible perforated membrane (VFPM) wall. The formulation is modeled based on the linear water wave theory and utilizes the Fourier expansion along with the eigenfunction expansion to obtain velocity potentials. The diffraction and radiation potentials are solved to determine wave excitation forces and hydrodynamic coefficients; added mass damping coefficients, and equation of motion along with damping PTO. The equation of motion for the heaving buoy and power capture expressions with PTO are also provided. The present theoretical result is validated with numerical BEM results available in the literature. In numerical results, the effect of the oblique angle on the hydrodynamic coefficients, power capture by the WEC, damping PTO, and optimal PTO damping are analyzed in detail.
