The objective of this work is to develop a preliminary mooring design for an offshore photovoltaic substructure which will be constructed using newly developed environmentally friendly, low-carbon ultra-high-performance concrete. A calculation procedure based on static and quasi-static analysis is implemented in MATLAB to evaluate the mooring tension and horizontal offset of the structure. Environmental loads, including wind, current, mean drift forces, and wave loads, are calculated according to Class Society guidelines. Various design alternatives are explored, considering different numbers of cables, configurations, and mooring materials. Calculations are performed for a range of properties for both chain and polyester materials, adhering to the design criteria. All viable configurations meeting these criteria are presented and discussed. This study provides basic mooring concepts essential for subsequent dynamic analysis.
