This paper presents a multi-module oscillating water column (OWC) wave energy converter array system consisting of eight OWC modules interconnected by elastic ropes. A symmetric mooring system is designed for the array, taking into account the hydrodynamic effects of the mooring system on the OWC modules. Using three-dimensional potential flow theory, the study investigates the
influence of the mooring system on the motion responses of representative modules, the tension in typical mooring lines, and the spacing between adjacent modules, through time-domain analysis. Additionally, the strength and reliability of the mooring system under various random parameters are assessed based on the numerical results.
