Some methods accounting for the wind and current action are described on an example of their application to the case of full-scale manoeuvring trials carried out with a 45 m catamaran equipped with waterjets. The tests have been performed in the estuary of the Tagus river, in front of Lisbon with the current’s velocities attaining 3 knots. The meteo conditions with significant wind speeds were typical for this area. In course of trials, registered were the trajectories, usual kinematic parameters, and the relative wind velocity vector. The obtained results demonstrate a possibility of reducing the influence of perturbations caused by the environmental effects.
