The motions and accelerations of fishing vessels of different size and type will be assessed using linear strip theory methods. Their response to irregular sea states is assessed by the spectral approach and short-term and long-term predictions are made of their seakeeping preformance in seas with characteristics of Faro and Sines in the Portuguese coast as well as for the seas offshore Portugal.
