In the present paper the laminar flow around a heaving oscillating axisymmetric structures is numerically studied for various Keulegan-Carpenter numbers. Navier-Stokes equations are solved using OpenFOAM, which is applied to a flow on a moving mesh. For processing of results semi-empirical Morison equation is used. Calculations are conducted for one cylinder, one cylinder with one disk and one cylinder with 2 disks. The damping ratio is compared against experimental data.
