Rodriguez, G.R., Guedes Soares, C. and Ferrer, L. (2000), “Wave Group Statistics of Numerically Simulated Mixed Sea States”, Journal of Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering, Vol. 122, pp. 282-288

Run length and total run length probabilities are examined for mixed sea states, resulting from the combination of a remotely generated wave field and a locally generated wave system, based on numerically simulated wave records. Two peaked sea states are classified in nine representative groups, in terms of two dimensionless parameters. Results are compared with those corresponding to a mean JONSWAP target spectrum and those predicted by the Kimura's model.
