The aim of this work is to present the results of an experimental study of the wind forces acting on a 350K FSRU barge model aimed at operating as a LNG Platform. The experiments have been performed in a wind tunnel and the model was rotated repeatedly starting from 0º angle, with step of 10 degrees. Measurement uncertainty was derived from repeated tests of the wind forces have been made several times and measured by the BS50-C load cell. The results are compared with numerical results that have been performed in the CFD Software Ansys CFX. One of the most important tasks in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) which is mesh generation was made by Ansys ICEM CFD. Details of its generation are presented in the paper.
