The instrumentation used in the control, guidance and navigation system implemented on board of the model of the “Esso Osaka” tanker is introduced. The implemented closed-loop system is presented, as well as the chosen hardware and software architectures. As results of the instrumentation and implementation of the model’s guidance and control systems, it will be possible to perform predefined manoeuvres in a controlled and autonomous way, obtaining simultaneously the record of the data acquired by the sensors on board.
