The paper presents the results of an experimental and numerical investigation of the hydrodynamic coefficients and the motions on a Fast-Ferry advancing in regular waves. A model with 4.4m between perpendiculars was constructed in Fiber Glass Reinforced Plastic (FRP). The model was made up of 4 segments connected by a backbone in order to measure the structural loads at the positions of the cuts. The experimental work with a scaled model included forced motions tests in calm water and free motions tests in regular head waves.
