Concern for the development of rational procedures for structural monitoring of ships and offshore structures. This includes methods for on-board and remote surveillance of loads, responses and structural deterioration for operational decision-making using information technology. Consideration shall be given to guidelines for inspection, assessment criteria for damage, and cost-risk based decision procedures for remedial action.
