Concern for the design of ships and offshore structures under fires, blasts, and their possible interaction. This shall include assessment of the probabilistic and physical nature of such accidental situations, evaluation of active and passive protection measures as well as determination of materials, structural arrangements and dimensions. Particular attention shall be given to the thermal and mechanical structural effects of the accidental loads.
