Full-scale manoeuvring trials of a fast catamaran of 45 m length equipped with waterjet propellers are described and their results are presented and discussed. The trials have been carried out in the period from November 1998 to April 1999 in the estuary of the Tagus River, facing Lisbon. Most of the manoeuvres envisaged by the IMO Resolution A.751(18) were executed in deep and shallow water at Froude numbers up to 0.56. Along with trajectories and standard kinematic parameters, the relative wind velocity vector was recorded.
