This paper presents the results for hydrodynamic coefficients obtained from forced oscillation tests of a C11 type container vessel. Heave and pitch added mass and damping are investigated through model testing of a scaled model. Apart from the upright position, the vessel is heeled 5 and 10 degrees, leading to asymmetric cross-sections. The forced oscillation tests are repeated for this new vessel position to obtain the hydrodynamic coefficients and examine how much they deviate from their upright position counterparts. This aims to reveal if calculating the hydrodynamic coefficients in time domain instead of frequency domain would make a significant difference in seakeeping behavior of a vessel in numerical simulations. Along with the heeled vessel, the same repetition is carried out also for two speeds allowing the evaluation of speed effects. The forced oscillation survey additionally includes three amplitudes for heave and pitch motions in order to assess nonlinearities. All sets include six periods of oscillation. Finally, the complete data sets from these experiments are compared to strip theory results of two numerical codes, one for the upright vessel and one for the heeled vessel.
