In the present paper, wave interaction with floating structure over flat-bottom based on linearized Boussinesq equations is formulated in shallow water. The equations presented in this paper are derived from the equation of continuity and Euler’s equation of motion. The solution of the physical problem is obtained using the eigenmode expansion method. Potential flow theory is used to determine the pressure field beneath the floating structure under shallow water condition by solving the Laplace equation. Further, the continuity of Boussinesq pressure and velocity at the interface are used to solve the boundary value problem into a system of linear equations. The horizontal and vertical wave forces on the floating structure are analysed in different cases.
