To operate and maintain offshore marine renewables they have to be accessible for a certain period of time. This study presents the accessibility conditioned by two thresholds: wave height and average wind speed. Hence the conditioned significant wave height distributions of a site off Portugal in the North Atlantic Ocean is analysed for the winter months (1958-1968). Quantile function of beta distribution is suggested as empirical distribution along with several other probabilistic models for the purpose. The goodness of fit is ascertained by Z-test and by Q-Q plots. The significant wave heights in the range 1.6-3.0 m and associated wind speeds = 15 m/s are considered as the operational environmental conditions. Inconsistencies between computed and estimated average persistence and waiting time of accessible heights hac are in the reasonable limits. This case study reveals the effect of wind speed on wave height weather windows and the levels of access encountered.
