In the present study, the interaction of surface gravity waves with multiple bottom-standing flexible porous breakwaters is analyzed based on the linearized theory of water waves. Using the method of least squares approximation the study is carried out to understand the effect of the vertical flexible barriers as effective breakwater. It is observed that, in the presence of porosity the wave reflection decreases and the change in the distance between the barriers also helps in the attenuation of wave height. The resonating pattern in the reflection coefficients are observed for multiple flexible porous barriers and it is also observed that the presence of multiple bottom standing breakwater helps in the reduction of wave height in the transmitted region. The present study will be helpful in the analysis of proper functioning of porous bottom standing barrier as an effective breakwater for the protection of offshore structures.
