the paper describes the development of one guidance, control and navigation platform for autonomous surface vehicles, as well as a specific application of using it in a vehicle for performing a set of maneuvering tests autonomously. In order to be possible to guide the model from land and in a back-up manual mode or to transmit a mission profile for operation in automatic mode a bidirectional communication is established via radio. A set of experiments have been conducted in a lake and the first set of results is presented here. The experiments were performed successfully and have shown the validity of the whole system.
