CENTEC researchers distinguished at the ULisboa/Caixa Geral de Depósitos Scientific Awards 2026

CENTEC researchers Shan Wang and Baiqiao Chen have been recognised in the 2026 edition of the ULisboa/Caixa Geral de Depósitos Scientific Awards, a distinction that “aims to acknowledge scientific research activity and encourage international publications of recognised quality”.
Shan Wang was awarded the Prize in the area of Mechanical Engineering, Naval Engineering and Aerospace Engineering (Aircraft). In the same area, Baiqiao Chen received an Honourable Mention.
Both researchers are members of the faculty at Instituto Superior Técnico, reinforcing CENTEC's role in producing scientific work of excellence with international impact.
The ULisboa/CGD Scientific Awards are the result of a partnership between the University of Lisbon and Caixa Geral de Depósitos, annually promoting the recognition of scientific excellence produced at ULisboa.
